The Uplands Picnic

The Uplands is a community oriented neighborhood in central Illinois. Each year they throw an annual neighborhood picnic on the cusp of fall. When I was commisioned to create the invites, I knew I wanted to design a flyer that would act as more than a basic invite, but a tactile piece of design that would get people excited about the event and be visually inspiring. I used a combination of illustration and digital collage to create a picnic scene that, combined with the soft, limited color palette feels nostalgic and inviting.
