Screen Prints
I've recently had the opportunity to begin making screen printed designs. Screen printing is done by pressing ink through a stencilled mesh to create your finished printed design. Some of the coolest posters you'll see are done by screen printing. It's been used for over 1,000 years, and there's a lot to learn within this medium. I'll update this page as I continue to make more designs!
"Clothesline"
My first screen print was done by physically painting this design onto vellum with a dip pen to create the "film." This is bascially the most streamlined and analog way of making a design for screen printing. With it came many imperfections, but overall, it's full of character. I had a great time learning on this two-color print.
